I first learned about tithing a few years ago. “Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house. Test Me in this,” says the Lord of Hosts. “See if I will not open the windows of heaven and pour out for you blessing without measure” (Malachi 3:10). It happened while going through a hard and painful trial. I had to really lean into and hold firmly on to God. While learning about God’s goodness, mercy, and faithfulness, this scripture was brought across my path.
I’ve often said that that trial was one of the ways God drew me to himself. Isn’t that when we seek God — when life gets really hard?
I began working toward the 10% tithe, and soon I did in fact see blessings. One miracle was a breakthrough in that particular trial. Additionally, God has always provided. He never ceases to amaze me. There has always, always been more than enough to cover bills and living expenses, etc.

I receive the Good News Reflections, and again it never ceases to amaze me: God speaks to me through them. I can be struggling with something on any given day, and sure enough, the reflection touches on my struggle and gives me God’s perspective on things.
