“We’re all called to different vocations in life,” Christian says. “Our vocation is founded in personal prayer, but public ministry and church ministry are the seeds of finding which call you think that God is calling you to.”

God gives us gifts, he explains. And when we use those gifts, we fall in love with ministry. And ministry helps us discover our calling.

“Find something that gives you joy and satisfaction. Because even though it is about joyful self-sacrifice, the minister that can’t take joy in his own work can’t really prosper long term.”

Christian Galvan spent nearly five years in commercial construction management and civil engineering while discerning a call to the priesthood. “All of these life lessons prove invaluable as I journey through Catholic seminary,” he said.

He was ordained a priest in 2023!
