10 Tips to Break Free from Smallness Thinking
is a companion to Terry Modica’s book
Knowing God’s Will and Doing It Well
1. RECOGNIZE SMALLNESS THINKING
Notice when you’re limiting what’s possible by imagining that God is bound by human limitations.
2. IDENTIFY FEAR’S INFLUENCE
Acknowledge how fear of failure or past disappointments can shape your expectations of what God can do through you.
3. CHALLENGE FALSE BELIEFS
Replace “I’m too insignificant” with the truth that God works powerfully through ordinary people.
4. DISTINGUISH HUMILITY FROM SMALLNESS
True humility magnifies God’s greatness, while smallness thinking minimizes it.
5. REMEMBER GOD’S BIGNESS
Keep in mind that God sees a much larger picture than we can and He plans accordingly.
6. AIM HIGHER WITH GOD
Link your goals to God’s greatness instead of shrinking them to fit your comfort zone.
7. RELY ON HIS STRENGTH
You’re not expected to accomplish big things alone; greatness flows through your connection to Him.
8. REFUSE TO SETTLE
Don’t let fear or past setbacks convince you to accept less than God’s vision.
9. THINK COLLECTIVELY, NOT ALONE
God’s great plans require joint effort; we build faith and impact the world by teaming up with others.
10. LIVE OUT HIS GREATNESS
Let God’s greatness in you be seen through generous action, bold faith, and shared mission.
Your mission is more important than you can imagine. Let’s discover your full potential!
