“Consult not your fears but your hopes and your dreams. Think not about your frustrations, but about your unfulfilled potential. Concern yourself not with what you tried and failed in, but with what it is still possible for you to do.” (Pope Saint John XXIII)

If what we hope for is something God would hope for, then he is already working a plan to make it happen, because God does not live in hope. He lives in the reality of hope already realized.

If what we dream of is God’s dream for us, then he has prepared a way to make our dreams come true. Stay close to him, pray continually, and do whatever hard work of faith and action is necessary to accomplish the goal, and you will find yourself on the path where dreams become reality.

Fears lie to us, telling us we cannot do what is possible through Christ. Fears might speak truth about what is impossible without Christ, but they should not hold us back. Rather, they should lead us closer to Christ.

Frustrations, on the other hand, do not lie to us. They tell us why it’s important to work with Christ to fulfill the potential he has given us. But when we focus on what frustrates us, we take our eyes off of Jesus. Instead, go ahead and explore your potential with Jesus.

You have greatness within you, because you have Christ within you. Dare to dream big! Dare to hope! Dare to turn old failures into exciting possibilities for the future! This is how God works wonders on earth today.
