Do you know God’s plans for you?
When our plans go awry, if we have given our lives to Christ and want to follow him, what seems awry might in fact be beneficial. If we have entrusted our plan-making to God and counted on the Holy Spirit to influence our decisions, then we can breathe a sigh of relief, because what now feels like a broken plan is really just an adjustment from one phase of God’s plans to the next.
God says: “I know the plans I have for you. They are, of course, good plans! I want you to prosper. My plans for you will not harm you. These are plans that will give you hope and a future.” (See Jeremiah 29:11.)
So, we can safely trust that a difficulty we’re facing now is merely a nighttime journey of fumbling through a thick forest on a rocky path that’s taking us to a new mountaintop where the sun’s warm rays will reveal how wonderful the plans of God truly are.
