What are you worried about? What concerns are you lifting up in prayer? What issues are you dealing with that your mind often wanders back to? Would you like to know God’s activity in these situations?

Think about this:

Everything is pregnant with God’s activity. It cannot be otherwise. God is all-powerful, omni-present, and all-caring. If he were to remove herself (we can safely think of the feminine side of God) from anything at all, it could exist no longer. Why? Because the Holy Spirit is the Giver of Life.

God is present in every situation you care about. And God cannot sit idly by watching anything with detachment; God permeates every situation. Permeating is an action. Giving life is an activity. Everything is pregnant with God’s activity.

It’s up to us to cooperate with this activity, but he is always involved in everything completely, bringing new life from every situation.

So, the next time you wonder if God is answering your prayers, meditate on this. Look at the world around you. Become aware of the condition of pregnancy that is in it all. Everything is pregnant with God’s activity!
