What is the genuine you? What goodness is in your heart? This is the presence of Christ within you.
It is not prideful to think of ourselves as genuinely good. We are aware that we sin, but if we have chosen to have a genuine relationship with Christ as our Savior, then we are sinners no longer. We are saints who daily need to improve how well we live out our sainthood, but we are saints nonetheless.
“For our sake, Jesus who did not know sin because sin, so that we might become the righteousness of God in him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)
What goodness is in your heart? Meditate on that, because you will be meditating on the nature of Jesus and the reality of his presence within you.
