“Be transformed by renewing your mind. Then you will be able to discern what God’s will really is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Romans 12:2)
Wondering what God’s will is regarding a puzzling problem? Or a life-altering decision? Or a prayer request that might never get answered?
Take some time away from normal routines and do a favorite activity that clears the mind. A walk down a deserted dirt road, looking for flowers that are blooming on weeds. A stroll on the beach, listening to the waves. A sit at the park, watching someone else’s children play.
Don’t push your mind to discern God’s will. The answer will come through a quiet inspiration from the Holy Spirit, often when you don’t expect it.
