In this single verse of scripture, the Holy Trinity is explained: Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned, you have revealed them to the childlike.” (Luke 10:21)
Jesus the Son is your brother by flesh, your healer by his divinity, and your Savior by faith. He is delighted whenever you make a new discovery that brings you closer to God, purifies your soul, and enlightens your life with greater understanding about the ways of God. He is the Word of God cheering you on with encouragement, example, and compassion. He is sharing his joy with you.
The Father is your Lord and Master, who cares about your earthly life and looks forward to spending eternity with you in heaven. He wants what’s best for you, but receiving his blessings requires total submission to and trust in his Lordship.
The Holy Spirit is the revealer of heavenly knowledge, your teacher and your guide, and the source of your joy.
