When our dreams and desires have been placed into God’s hands, we might as well relax and enjoy the ride. We cannot make the ride go faster no matter how we wish and try and pray. God never makes us wait one second longer than what his good wisdom calls for, and that should be reason enough for us to sit back and relax: Make the most of what is going on right now, during the wait, and don’t waste the present on yearnings for the future.
