Lord God, be in charge of the matter of timing for everything today.
God has a plan for your day today. Do you know what it is? Well, typically whatever we think God wants on our day’s agenda is not what he actually has in mind.
Be ready to be flexible. When we start each day asking God to be in charge of the timing of timing for everything. If the unexpected happens, as is often the case, it’s time to pause and pray and discern. With practice, this might only take a few moments.
If the Holy Spirit inspires you and energizes you to do something, follow that leading. But if it’s anxiety or pressure or addiction pushing you into it, turn it over to Christ, connect to his peace, and put it aside.
We won’t go wrong with this, because we’re allowing God to be in charge. If we err in our attempts to stick close to his will, Christ will redirect us.
Pay attention to the matter of timing for each and every detail of your day. You will discover that God is very involved with you.
