Do not rely on your own strength, but on the strength of him who defeated evil by taking it to the cross. The challenges you face today are already sources of new growth, thanks to Jesus.
Jesus is right there beside you, carrying some of the weight of your burdens. Turn to him, thank him, and trust him. Where you feel weak, it’s because Jesus has not given you the strength to endure it on your own. He has, instead, given you the invitation to rely on his strength.
Our weaknesses are reasons to rejoice. If we feel disturbed by any weakness, it’s because we wish we could be strong. God wants us to prefer Jesus’ strength. God wants us to recognize our dependence on him.
